About 13th Security Battalion
The 13th Security Battalion is an operational, joint defence force combat unit with high material and personnel availability, capable of operating across the entire spectrum of conflict. The battalion's main task is to detect, clarify, and counter security-threatening activities in the form of foreign intelligence gathering, crime, terrorism, sabotage, and subversion directed against the Swedish Armed Forces' prioritized protected values.
The battalion works preventively through security intelligence services and security-enhancing measures. Our vision is that the 13th Security Battalion breaks the adversary's deniability and creates conditions for the entire Swedish Armed Forces to meet every threat and overcome every challenge. We are now recruiting a Combat Control Officer to the 315th Security Platoon
The Security Platoon is part of the 13th Security Battalion and is based at F16 in Uppsala. The platoon handles varied tasks within the framework of military security service, with a focus on collection through troop reconnaissance.
Main Responsibilities
As a Combat Control Officer, you are part of the platoon leadership together with professional officers and soldiers. Your main responsibility is to organize and plan the platoon's material service and technical service towards both F16 and the 13th Security Battalion, as well as to lead the platoon's material service through our deputy group commanders. You may also be included in temporarily assembled combat groups during the execution of security operations. Tasks may include planning of transport, accommodation, and supply during temporary deployments through cooperation with supporting units.
Qualifications
- Approved professional officer education
- Category B driver's license
- FM FySS (175p multitest, 13:30 field test)
Meritorious
- Previously served as a Combat Control Officer or technical chief within the Swedish Armed Forces
- Good familiarity with PRIO and LIFT systems
- Experience from national or international operations
- Good ability to express oneself in speech and writing
- Military work permits

Information about the Swedish Armed Forces and the recruiting unit: Uppland Air Wing, F 16, has its headquarters at Uppsala Garrison. The unit is part of the Swedish Air Force and is responsible for the operation and security of Uppsala Airport as well as the training of conscripts in various roles in the Air Force. The unit also leads the 161st Combat Control and Air Surveillance Battalion, which controls fighter aircraft in the air and maintains constant surveillance of Swedish airspace. The unit operates from several different locations in the country and is an important part of the growth period the Air Force is undergoing.
