Do you want to make a real impact and create a difference? Here you contribute to creating security for people and societies. What you do matters.
Your role
Do you want to work to ensure that advanced technical systems function efficiently, are available when needed, and can be maintained cost-effectively throughout their entire lifecycle?
As an ILS/Maintenance Engineer, you work to create conditions for high operational reliability, availability, and efficient maintenance. You analyze how systems are used and maintained in real-world operations and translate results into concrete improvements in maintenance strategies, spare parts supply, technical documentation, and support solutions.
The role lies at the intersection of technology, operations, service, and business. You collaborate closely with systems engineers, designers, maintenance organizations, production, customers, and project teams to ensure that products can be used, supported, and developed efficiently throughout their entire lifecycle.
The work covers both new systems under development and existing products in operation. Depending on project needs, you work independently or together with other specialists.
Examples of tasks:
- Develop and improve maintenance and support solutions for technical systems
- Analyze operational reliability, availability, and maintenance needs
- Create maintenance plans, maintenance concepts, and recommendations for operations and support
- Ensure correct spare parts levels and support material supply work
- Participate in requirements work and ensure that maintenance and support requirements are addressed in development projects
- Collaborate with designers, systems engineers, production, and customers to improve product lifecycle performance
- Contribute with analyses and decision support that influence technical solutions, costs, and future maintenance setups
- Work with methods such as FMEA/FMECA, LCC, LORA, spare parts analysis, and other ILS-related analyses
Your profile
We are looking for you who are an engineer or have equivalent technical experience and have a genuine interest in technology, analysis, and improvement work. You thrive in a role where technology, analysis, and collaboration meet and have an interest in how technical systems function in practice. You are driven by finding solutions that contribute to increased availability, more efficient maintenance, and long-term functionality.
You are structured, analytical, and communicative, with a good ability to collaborate with people from different technical fields. You have an academic education in engineering or equivalent experience, as well as a few years of experience as an engineer or from roles within, for example, maintenance, service, support, production technology, systems work, or similar technical operations. You also have experience working in projects and express yourself comfortably in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. For us, your personal qualities are an important part of the overall assessment in this recruitment.
Desirable qualifications:
- Experience in operational reliability, maintenance, or availability work
- Experience with FMEA/FMECA, RAMS, LCC, or other analysis methods related to maintenance and lifecycle support
- Experience from service, support, or maintenance organizations
The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
Please note that we work with ongoing selection and the position may be filled before the final application date has passed. This advertisement is posted over the summer, so response may therefore be delayed.
