About the Position

Montico in Katrineholm is now recruiting, on behalf of Elprojekt Mälardalen, an experienced Electrical Designer. The company's clients are found in both the public and private sectors, such as property owners, municipalities, industries, and contractors. With modern CAD and BIM tools and long industry experience, they deliver technically well-prepared documents of high quality.

You will become part of a growing company with short decision-making paths and high technical competence, where you work closely with both customers and colleagues and have significant personal responsibility. The role involves driving projects from early stages to completed construction documents and implementation.

Job Description

As an Electrical Designer, you are responsible for the design and technical formulation of electrical and building technical systems and installations.

Your tasks may include, among others:

• Design of electrical installations for high and low voltage, lighting systems, telecommunications, data, and security systems, building automation, and control and monitoring systems.
• Preparation of technical descriptions according to AMA EL.
• Power calculations and dimensioning of electrical installations as well as preparation of single-line diagrams.
• Coordination with other technical disciplines such as HVAC, control, and construction.
• Handling of changes, design questions, and ÄTA (Additional Work) tasks.
• Participation in design meetings, inspections, and technical coordination meetings.
• Technical advisory to clients and contractors.

We are looking for you who

Are self-motivated, solution-oriented, and have a genuine interest in technology. You thrive with customer contact and feel secure in the role as an advisor and designer.

We would like you to have:

• At least 5 years of experience in electrical design within housing and commercial properties.
• Post-secondary education in electrical power, electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Good knowledge of AMA EL and contract law.
• Experience with BIM design in AutoCAD with MagiCAD.
• Ability to independently produce technical descriptions.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Swedish citizenship and the possibility to undergo a security clearance check.

Meritorious:

• Experience in design within industry and power supply.
• Experience in building automation, control, and monitoring systems.
• Knowledge within KNX, DALI, BACnet, Modbus, or similar systems.
• Experience with energy monitoring and technical building systems.
• Certified construction inspector.
• Knowledge in Febdok or similar calculation programs as well as Revit.
• Background as an electrician or installation technician.
