Technical Project Manager within Water Treatment

Introduction
Do you want to drive technical projects that contribute to efficient and sustainable solutions in water treatment? As a Technical Project Manager, you lead projects from idea and feasibility study to implementation, commissioning, and follow-up. You collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders and ensure that technology, schedule, economics, quality, and environmental requirements are aligned.
We are looking for you who
Have a good technical understanding of water treatment processes and can translate technical solutions into executable projects. We would like you to have experience or interest in:
- Mechanical, biological, and chemical treatment
- Coagulation, sedimentation, filtration, membrane technology (RO/UF/NF), ozonation, UV, and adsorbents
- Sludge management, thickening, and related processes
- Design and dimensioning of treatment technology
- Drawings, P&ID, instrumentation, and control systems such as SCADA/PLC
In the role, you will
Lead and coordinate technical projects throughout the project lifecycle, create structure, and drive progress in collaboration with engineering, operations, suppliers, and other project stakeholders. Examples of tasks:
- Lead projects from concept to finished solution
- Responsible for planning, budgeting, schedules, and risk analyses
- Coordinate procurements and maintain contact with suppliers and contractors
- Work with contracting forms and agreements, such as AB/ABT
- Monitor deliveries, costs, quality, and project goals
It is meritorious if you have
Knowledge of regulations and requirements within water treatment and environmental technology projects, including authority dialogue and documentation. We would like you to have knowledge in:
- Swedish and EU-related environmental and water legislation
- Emission requirements, permitting processes, and authority dialogue
- Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and documentation requirements
- Occupational health and safety requirements in technical projects
Your background
You likely have experience from the water and wastewater industry, industrial water treatment, process industry, or other environmental technology activities. Experience with installations, commissioning, process optimization, or improvement work is particularly relevant.
As a person, you are structured, communicative, and solution-oriented. You take responsibility, create clarity, and drive work forward together with others, with the ability to balance technology, economics, environmental requirements, and operational needs. We believe you have:
- Good collaboration skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Clear communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Analytical skills and a strong problem-solving focus
- Independence, responsibility, and the ability to prioritize
- Ability to create progress even in complex project environments
Qualifications
We would like you to have a university degree in environmental technology, chemical engineering, biotechnology, process technology, or another relevant technical field. Equivalent work experience may also be relevant.
- Merit with BAS-P/BAS-U
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Category B driver's license is required
