Do you want to work with advanced measurement technology and be involved when our systems are tested in practice? Here you will plan, conduct, and analyze measurements that form the basis for the verification and further development of our products.
As a Measurement Engineer, you work closely with both technology and testing operations. The role combines practical work with analysis and gives you the opportunity to follow measurement data all the way from planning and execution to evaluation and conclusions.
Your Role
As a Measurement Engineer at Saab Dynamics Missile Systems, you are responsible for planning and conducting measurement tasks in connection with, for example, live-fire tests and environmental testing.
You work on identifying the project's measurement needs and translating these into functional measurement solutions. Prior to tests, you set up measurement configurations and ensure that the correct data is collected in the correct manner. During and after tests, you are responsible for data collection, processing, and analysis of the results.
The work also includes analyzing data collected by external parties. Evaluation is performed using MATLAB and other tools for data processing and analysis.
The role is varied and includes both practical and analytical work. Some of the measurements are carried out outdoors, and the work is done in close collaboration with other technical areas and projects.
The position can be adapted to some extent to your competence, experience, and interests. For example, there is an opportunity to work more towards a systems engineering role or with method development within testing and verification.
Your Profile
We are looking for you who are analytical, meticulous, and enjoy combining practical work with technical analysis. You have a structured approach to work and the ability to drive your work forward independently while appreciating collaboration with others.
You are educated as a university engineer or have equivalent competence and have experience in one or more areas within electronics, measurement technology, mechanics, or developmental testing. If you have also worked with verification, system testing, or similar operations, we consider this an advantage.
The role suits you who are practical and have an interest in understanding, analyzing, and evaluating technical systems. You are quick to take initiative, comfortable with taking responsibility, and thrive in a role where you sometimes need to lead or drive activities forward.
Since the work is done in close collaboration with colleagues, projects, and external parties, it is important that you can communicate well in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. You are motivated by varied tasks, are open to new challenges, and enjoy working both independently and together with others.
We would like you to have:
- Category B driver's license
The primary location is Karlskoga, but it is also possible to work in Karlstad by agreement. Commuting between locations occurs as needed, as well as national and international travel.
Here you will work with advanced measurement technology and follow the results all the way from measurement setup and data collection to analysis and technical conclusions.
The position requires that you undergo and pass the security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
Please note that we work with rolling recruitment and the position may be filled before the application deadline has passed. Due to the holiday period, feedback and the next steps in the recruitment process may take longer than usual. We process applications on a rolling basis, but final feedback may not occur until the end of August. Thank you for your understanding and interest in the position.
