Your Role

As a Systems Engineer at Saab Dynamics, Missile Systems, you will have a unique opportunity to help shape the future of defense technology. You will become a key person in the development of advanced missile systems and Mission Planning solutions, actively contributing to the project's success and technical development.

You will work on Mission Planning for Taurus, a high-tech long-range missile system that represents the pinnacle of precision and range for air-to-ground missiles. This includes functions such as route planning, both optimization and manual planning, simulation of the flight path and/or environment, adversary movements and threats, etc., and tactical considerations such as "How does my adversary think?" or "How do we maximize performance in the system we are planning for?" This involves the concrete development of new algorithms and fine-tuning of existing ones (both advanced physical and mathematical models) in the ADA programming language.

The project places very high demands on accuracy, modular design, and technical innovation, making every task both complex and stimulating.

As a Systems Engineer, you play a central role in our projects, contributing a holistic perspective and having the opportunity to analyze and understand customer needs, manage requirements, and document technical specifications to guide the development process. Other responsibilities include having technical ownership and being the owner of a system, as well as analyzing functions and performance. You will be a vital link between customers and developers, ensuring that the system meets high quality and performance standards.

You will move within many technical areas, and your contacts within the company will be broad. To assist you, we have structured processes and method descriptions in our internal databases.

Your Profile

A suitable educational background is a Master of Science in Engineering in Technical Physics or equivalent.

Experience and knowledge in algorithm development, product development in mechanics, electronics, and software, as well as technical documentation, are also advantageous. Our teams are versatile, and we believe that different perspectives and experiences can contribute to creating even better solutions. So, regardless of previous experience and work background, you are more than welcome to help shape the technology of the future.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
