You will join our Business Area Ground Combat, which develops, produces, and delivers a wide range of weapon systems. Within the development department, you will find the ILS section, consisting of ILS/LSA engineers, technical writers, and illustrators.

For those unfamiliar with the term LSA (Logistic Support Analysis), this role involves ensuring that the reliability and maintainability aspects of the product are analyzed and specified during the development phase, laying the foundation for a robust and maintainable system.

As an LSA Engineer, you play a central role in specifying, analyzing, evaluating, and improving the operation and maintenance of our products and systems. You work with a focus on availability, cost-effectiveness, and customer benefit throughout the product's lifecycle. In practice, this means delving into areas such as reliability, failure analysis, maintenance strategies, repair levels, task analysis, and maintenance planning, all with the goal of creating sustainable solutions that meet operational needs.

Your Profile

We believe that you, applying for this role, have an engineering background and several years of experience working with Reliability and Maintainability. We expect you to have a good understanding of fundamental engineering disciplines and an interest in working systematically and analytically with technical systems, and that you are comfortable with calculations within the aforementioned areas.

We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and has good communication skills in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. You enjoy working analytically and systematically, make well-founded decisions, and have a natural eye for detail. At the same time, you are a team player who appreciates collaboration and thrives in a role with broad interfaces. In this recruitment, we will place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

It is an advantage if you have experience with tools and standards such as LSAR (Mil-Stan 1388 or Def-Stan 00-60), Windchill Risk and Reliability (PTC), or OPUS (Systecon). Experience from roles as a support or service engineer in manufacturing, the automotive industry, or military operations is valuable, as is familiarity with Product Support Analysis according to ASD/S3000L or Preventive Maintenance Analysis according to ASD/S4000P. Proficiency in advanced Excel formulas and functions is also a plus for this role.

The position requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
