Do you want to be part of the journey when advanced missile systems go from specification to real-world testing? Here, you will plan, execute, and evaluate the verification of systems that demand high levels of technology and precision.

You will work closely with the technology throughout the entire development chain – from system requirements and test planning to verification, environmental testing, and live firings.

Your Role

As a Test Engineer within Saab Dynamics Missile Systems, you are responsible for ensuring that the verification and testing of missile systems are carried out according to system requirements and test plans. You are involved throughout the entire process – from planning and preparatory analysis to execution and evaluation.

The work is varied, and depending on the project phase, you may work on everything from smaller engineering tests at the subsystem level to environmental tests and live firings at the system level. After tests are completed, you document results and conclusions in test reports.

An important part of the job is to develop test programs and coordinate information from different parts of the organization to ensure that the right properties are tested and verified correctly. During execution, you are responsible for the test and lead the work to ensure everything proceeds according to plan.

Your contribution is crucial for the success of our projects and for ensuring that our systems function as intended when it really matters.

The position can be adapted to some extent based on your competence, experience, and interests. For example, there is an opportunity to work more towards a systems engineering role or with method development in testing and verification.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is curious, engaged, and motivated by learning new things. You have the ability to assess the reasonableness of system requirements and test setups, and you can evaluate results from a technical holistic perspective.

Our projects vary in scope and complexity, which demands flexibility and the ability to handle multiple tasks in parallel. Travel, both national and international, is involved.

To succeed in this role, we would like you to have experience in several of the following areas:

• University degree in engineering or equivalent
• Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: mechanics, electronics, measurement technology, or development testing
• Experience with verification and/or system testing
• Good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
• Valid driver's license (Category B)

The position requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance assessment according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
