About the role
As the Technical and Maintenance Manager, you have overall responsibility for leading, managing, and developing the technical and maintenance operations. You ensure a reliable facility with high availability, where safety and working environment are always the top priority.
The role involves both strategic and operational responsibility, where you, together with your team, drive daily maintenance and plan for stable and efficient operations.
You are part of the local management team and report to the Site Manager. You collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders and serve as a key support for technical matters throughout the organization.
Your responsibilities include, among other things:
- Lead, allocate, and follow up on work within the maintenance organization
- Ensure a high level of safety, working environment, and regulatory compliance
- Ensure the facility maintains high operational reliability and availability
- Be responsible for budget, forecasts, and financial follow-up
- Follow up and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Lead and execute investment and maintenance projects
- Be responsible for planning and prioritizing maintenance efforts and developing the maintenance system
- Develop the organization's working methods and structure
- Have full personnel responsibility, including working environment, rehabilitation, salary setting, and competence development
- Continuously contribute to the development of the business
- Actively participate in the Karlskoga management team
- Collaborate closely with production, technology, and external suppliers
- Develop and future-proof production through technical solutions and investments. You are responsible for investigating new production equipment, conducting technical analyses, and driving projects from idea to implementation.
Our Candidate
We are looking for you who have a technical educational background and experience in leading people and developing operations. You thrive in a role where you can combine strategic thinking with close operational work.
To succeed in the role, we see that you have:
- A university degree in engineering (at least three years) or equivalent experience
- Documented experience in leadership with personnel responsibility
- Knowledge of management systems
- Good experience with business systems and digital tools
- Experience in technical development work and project management
- Very good skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Education in maintenance – e.g., Maintenance Standard SS-EN 133306 and CMMS systems (D365) are meritorious
