Your Role

As a System Lead and Systems Engineer for NLAW within BU Ground Combat, you will work closely with project managers and product management regarding both maintenance and new development of our most advanced anti-tank system, NLAW.

You will lead a team of systems engineers and their work in the development of NLAW. You will be involved in all phases, from early studies and concept development to implementation and maintenance. This means, from a systems perspective, everything from requirements gathering and formulation to building system architecture, decomposition into design, and verification of the final system.

Examples of tasks:

• Leading and monitoring systems work, coordinating interactions with our stakeholders, and ensuring the systems team works focused towards the current goal.
• Leading and monitoring Systems Engineering (SE) work.
• Ensuring that the generic IPC lifecycle model is tailored, including processes, key decision gates, and technical reviews, to meet the specific project's needs.
• Ensuring that technical reviews of your own system/subsystem are conducted in accordance with current company procedures and agreed schedules.
• Ensuring that necessary enabling systems are planned and developed.

Our expectations for you as a System Lead are that you have sufficient breadth to understand the whole picture of our products, but also sufficient depth to communicate how the system is intended to function with those responsible for subsystems and components.

You will move within many technical areas, and your contact points within the company will be broad. At your disposal, we have controlled processes in our business system and method descriptions in our internal databases. You often collaborate in project form with other engineers from different parts of the development unit within Saab Dynamics. Our projects vary in size, which places high demands on your flexibility as you may need to work on several projects simultaneously.

Your Profile

You are a Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent with several years of experience in product development, preferably from systems work within one or more of the areas: mechanics, electronics, or software. Previous leadership experience and experience working with "systems of systems" are meritorious.

It is important that you have a sense for the holistic perspective, and we believe you have been involved long enough to have a good feel for when it is time to take the next step in development. You need to have good collaboration skills and be able to drive your work forward independently. You communicate well in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.

The position requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance procedures applicable at the time. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
