At Örebroporten, architecture is a vital part of the mission to develop a stronger and growing Örebro. We are now looking for an architect who wants to help shape future environments, from early development concepts to completed projects.

Örebroporten owns, develops, and manages some of Örebro's most significant properties. Here, long-term social responsibility is combined with a high development pace. – The architect is a key specialist resource for us. The role spans from early development stages and urban planning issues to tenant dialogues and support in our projects. This means you get to work with the entire chain and be present where ideas actually take shape, says Mattias Waller, Project and Property Development Manager.

Architecture that creates value

At Örebroporten, good architecture is seen as an investment in the future. When function, technology, and aesthetics interact, environments are created that endure over time: for tenants, businesses, and the city as a whole. As an architect, you therefore work from multiple perspectives simultaneously. One day might involve analyzing development sites, conducting volume studies, or contributing to early urban development discussions. The next day, the focus might be on capturing a tenant's needs and turning ideas into concrete sketches that help the client visualize their future premises.

You will also serve as a key support to project managers and external architects in ongoing projects. Here, you contribute architectural perspectives regarding, for example, design, material selection, and overall quality issues.

– What makes the role so exciting is the breadth. You need to be able to switch between the big picture and the smaller detail questions. With us, both the major urban development issues and the individual tenant's needs are equally important, Mattias continues.

Examples of tasks:

• Create vision sketches, analyses, and concepts in early development and urban development projects.
• Contribute architectural expertise in feasibility studies, preliminary design, and property development issues.
• Support the leasing organization by visualizing and developing solutions based on tenants' needs, considering the long-term flexibility and generality of buildings.
• Act as a specialist resource for project managers, property developers, asset managers, and executive management.
• Serve as a requirement setter and sounding board for external architects in renovation, development, and tenant adaptation projects.
• Work with volume studies, design issues, and analyses from an urban planning and city environment perspective.
• Participate in dialogues with tenants, the municipality, and other external partners.
• Contribute to the development of Örebroporten's property portfolio with a focus on quality, longevity, and good architecture.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for you who are an experienced architect with a genuine interest in urban development, property development, and people's needs. You thrive in a role where you get to switch between strategic development issues and more concrete assignments, while collaborating closely with colleagues, tenants, and external actors. To succeed with us, you need to be unpretentious, curious, and have the ability to turn ideas into solutions that create long-term value.

We believe you have:

• An architecture degree and are a licensed architect SAR/MSA.
• Many years of experience as a practicing architect.
• Experience working in early stages, from analysis and concept to feasibility studies and development.
• Good proficiency with modern digital modeling and visualization tools.
• Ability to communicate and present ideas clearly and pedagogically.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience with urban development projects.
• An established network within the architecture, construction, or property industry.
• Experience working in the interface between property development, urban planning, and public operations.
