At Bofors Test Center, we are currently looking for both Measurement Technicians and Measurement Engineers to join our operations in Karlskoga. Here you will find a practical and technically advanced role where you become a key part of conducting tests and measurements within our testing operations. The work takes place in a unique environment at one of Europe's largest firing ranges, where advanced testing, technology, and safety are in focus.

Your future challenge

As a Measurement Technician or Measurement Engineer, you will become part of a dynamic team within the Measurement, Photo & Environmental Lab department. The group currently consists of about 30 employees, including other measurement technicians, measurement engineers, photographers, and environmental endurance engineers. In both roles, you will work practically and administratively with various tests and projects, being involved throughout the entire process, from preparation to execution and follow-up.

The work includes, among other things, rigging and handling of measuring equipment at the test site, conducting various types of measurements, as well as quality control and compilation of measurement data. The measurements consist of registering physical quantities during testing, for example, in internal and external ballistics.

Examples of different measurements can include:

• Velocity and flight times of projectiles.
• Pressure measurements in weapon systems.
• Sound pressure during detonations.

As a Measurement Engineer, you will also handle more advanced measurement systems, including systems for tracking projectile trajectories both visually and with radar. Over time, you will take on increased responsibility, including some budget responsibility within an area. The role also involves greater technical and analytical responsibility where you will work with the development and improvement of measurement and testing methods.

Your background:

We are looking for someone with a strong technical interest who enjoys combining practical fieldwork with administrative tasks. We place great importance on personal qualities and would like you to be responsible, meticulous, and have good collaboration skills. To succeed in the role, we see that you have a strong safety mindset, are proactive, and have the ability to independently drive the work forward.

For the role of Measurement Technician, we see that you have technical education or relevant work experience in technology or measurement.

For the role of Measurement Engineer, a university degree in engineering or other engineering education with a good understanding of technical and physical processes is required. It is meritorious if you have experience of similar tasks or work with technical measurement systems and drones.

Requirements for the position:

• Swedish citizenship
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Category B driver's license
• Passed security clearance according to current laws and guidelines
