NAISS, the National Academic Infrastructure for Supercomputing in Sweden, provides large-scale computing resources, storage, and data services for academic users. NAISS is a center of excellence hosted by Linköping University and has 12 partner universities across Sweden.

We are now looking for an Accountant at NAISS who is interested in technology and technological development and wants to further develop as an accountant within the public sector!

About the Job

The responsibilities include actively participating in the preparation of annual accounts, including financial follow-ups and reporting, preparing materials for audits, and, as needed, preparing budgets, forecasts, and analyses. You will also handle ongoing accounting tasks such as transfers, requisitions, customer invoicing, payroll accounting, and management of fixed asset registers. The work is carried out in close collaboration with our accountants and our controller, who is also the main responsible person for the accounting function within NAISS.

Part of your work will be conducted in close contact and collaboration with accountants at the university administration. You will also be part of Linköping University's overarching network for accountants. Other tasks within the area may occur as needed.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

• a degree in economics or equivalent higher education
• several years of experience in accounting within the public sector
• good computer skills, including MS Word and MS Excel
• experience in communicating and explaining financial matters

The following qualifications are meritorious:

• experience with accounting for EU projects
• experience with accounting at a Swedish higher education institution or equivalent
• experience in communicating and explaining financial matters in both Swedish and English
• experience with the accounting system Raindance or equivalent

We are looking for someone who is unpretentious, cooperative, flexible, curious, and eager to learn new things. You are proactive and used to working independently with good teamwork skills. It is very important that you are good at creating and maintaining work-related relationships.

Your Workplace

You will work at NAISS, which currently consists of 54 people, in close collaboration with your colleagues in the administrative unit. You will be one of the members of the accounting group, which currently consists of two accountants and two administrators who work part-time with accounting matters. Your direct manager will be the NAISS Division Manager, who is also the Head of the Administrative Unit.

About the Employment

Permanent position, full-time 100%.

The position is that of an Accountant.

Start date: ASAP or as agreed.

The position may be subject to security classification. If so, a security check with registry control will be conducted before a decision on employment is made.
