The psychiatric department at Gällivare Hospital is an exciting unit that strives to provide meaningful 24-hour care.

The operations contribute to our round-the-clock service by requiring the position to include at least two weekend shifts per month.

We are looking for

We are looking for you who are trained as a nurse or assistant nurse, or have equivalent experience as assessed by the employer. It is an advantage if you have language skills in addition to Swedish, preferably in Arabic, Sami, or Finnish.

You have a strong empathetic ability and can put yourself in others' situations with respect and sensitivity. Furthermore, you have good teamwork skills and actively contribute to a good team spirit where you work together towards common goals. The work can sometimes be challenging, which requires you to be resilient and able to maintain focus and engagement over time.

What you will work with

As a nurse/assistant nurse on Gällivare's psychiatric department, you will be part of a care team consisting of nurses, assistant nurses, and doctors. We work with nursing care to promote recovery and rehabilitation.

Information about the position

We offer a permanent full-time position starting September 1, 2026. The position is primarily during daytime hours, Monday to Friday. Two weekend shifts per month on our inpatient department are included.

Selection and interviews take place continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.

The position is within psychiatry: Due to the nature of the operations and safety requirements, applicants must be prepared to provide a certificate from the Swedish Police Authority (extract from the criminal record).
