About the Employer
The Social Services Department operates under statutory authority, supported by the Social Services Act, the Health and Medical Services Act, and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Persons with Functional Impairments. The department aims to promote people's economic and social security, equality in living conditions, and active participation in community life on democratic grounds. Additionally, it provides good care, health and medical services, and support to the elderly, persons with disabilities, and others in need of societal support.
The Social Services Department consists of the Assistance Unit, the Care and Support Division, the Functional Support Division, the Home Care Division, as well as the Leadership Support Organization and the Health and Medical Services Organization. The Health and Medical Services Organization is responsible for interventions performed by nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists in both ordinary and special housing.
We are currently seeking a registered nurse for special housing, located at Enen.
Job Responsibilities
As a registered nurse, you are responsible for health and medical care interventions within the care and support housing. Your duties include coordinating high-quality care and support, where you are an integral part of the team working around the individual and their relatives. The role also involves supervision within the work team. As a day-shift nurse, you work as the responsible nurse for nursing care. Our team consists of 34 nurses in total, distributed across different areas. We maintain close collaboration between colleagues and the municipality's medically responsible nurse.
Qualifications
We are looking for a registered nurse. Further education suitable for the role or experience in similar work is meritorious. You should be confident working independently, as well as confident working in a team with other staff. Personal suitability is highly valued.
In accordance with the National Minority Language Act, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is meritorious when applying for employment in Gällivare Municipality.
A valid B-class driver's license is required.

Working Hours and Duration
Permanent position, full-time day shift with some weekend duties. Probationary period may apply.
