to apply for the job

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse or psychiatric nurse and want to contribute your skills and commitment to an important and meaningful assignment. Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP) works with children and adolescents up to 18 years old with moderate to severe psychiatric issues. CAP Norrbotten consists of four outpatient clinics, an inpatient ward, the safety team working with acute assessments, and the neuropsychiatric CAP team.

This position is for you who can and want to make a difference for the children and young people who need us. Within CAP, you will meet children and young people in difficult situations – and you will also meet their families, other close relatives, or perhaps authority representatives who are part of their lives. We are looking for you who know who the main person is every day in every patient case. It takes more than empathy; it takes competence and courage, and we are looking for you who are truly responsible.

We are looking for

Now we are looking for you who are a registered nurse with a few years of experience from the profession. You have good computer skills, and we see it as an advantage if you are specially trained in psychiatry or healthcare for children and adolescents. You should have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. It is an advantage if you speak Finnish and Sami, but it is not a requirement. As a nurse within CAP, you work with children and young people in complex and sometimes difficult life situations. The work involves contact with patients, their families, and other important actors in the child's network. The assignment requires good ability to make independent medical assessments, confidence in your profession, and a respectful approach even in challenging situations.

We place great emphasis on personal qualities. To thrive in this role, you can plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively, and you can set and keep timeframes. You see the big picture and take into account the larger perspective. As a person, you are secure, stable, and have self-awareness, as well as good collaboration skills.

This is what you will work with

You will work in a multidisciplinary team with the child and adolescent in focus. We are in our unit on a development journey where patient and quality safety is our red thread, and where we together take a large common responsibility. Through joint work, we develop working methods and approaches to increase our accessibility and make a difference for children and young people in Gällivare, Jokkmokk, Kiruna, and Pajala. We are part of a county clinic and work in collaboration with all CAP clinics in the county; we both give and take help from each other to achieve results. As a nurse, you will become part of the unit's work but also a colleague to nurses in the county who all contribute with high competence and joy of work. The work involves, in addition to patient meetings in planned follow-up, daily work with telephone advice and digital case management.

As a nurse with us, you have the opportunity for a varied and meaningful work with several personal meetings with children and young people. You will work with patient visits, both physical and digital, participate in treatment conferences, conduct medication and well-being follow-ups, and be responsible for advice in Tele-Q and 1177.

This is what we offer you

  • Collegial guidance
  • Treatment and clinic conferences
  • Reflection meetings
  • Opportunity for remote work (when operations allow)
  • Development and career opportunities where you get to help create future health and care
  • Health-promoting workplaces with access to fitness activities and fitness allowances
