Are you interested in working in a rural area with developmental tasks?

Arvidsjaur Health Centre is a distinct rural health centre with engaged colleagues characterized by an open and welcoming atmosphere and a good educational environment.

Outside of work, you have proximity to nature, the mountains, snowmobile trails, fishing, and tranquility – as well as a strong local community and short distances to everything in daily life.

We are looking for

We are looking for you who are a licensed physician and have completed your internship (AT). Experience in primary care and/or emergency care is meritorious. Great importance is placed on personal qualities. As a person, you are self-reliant, service-oriented, and have good judgment. You value and see the benefit of collaboration with others. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work efficiently. You see the big picture and take the broader perspective into account.

What you will work with

Arvidsjaur Health Centre is a rural health centre with approximately 6,150 registered citizens. The health centre includes a doctor's office, district nurse, nurse, and assistant nurse clinics, a psychosocial team with counseling, maternal and child health care, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, foot care, as well as a laboratory and X-ray department. The health centre also has an ambulance station that works partially integrated into our operations.

Arvidsjaur Health Centre is a well-functioning rural health centre with engaged colleagues, a strong team spirit, and high medical competence. We work in interdisciplinary teams with a focus on continuity, quality, and a good working environment. We meet the 1/1100 goal and can provide close supervision when needed.

As a Specialty Training (ST) doctor, you are part of the team with your own registered patients. The physician's task in primary care is to provide a broad medical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment based on the patient's entire life situation. The task includes continuity, coordination of care efforts, and being the patient's main medical responsible party over time. The physician should also work preventively and prioritize the right level of care for the best effect and patient safety.

At Arvidsjaur Health Centre, you have the opportunity to work broadly, independently, and close to your patients. Here, general medicine is not just a job – it is the core of care and an important part of society.

In addition to primary care, we also have a general medical ward with 6 beds staffed by our district doctors and ST doctors. We also have an emergency department open 24/7 where you, as an ST doctor, are part of the on-call line. These two additional assignments provide extra breadth to our rural mission.
