The Preschool and Primary School Administration is one of Varberg Municipality's largest administrations with nearly 2,200 employees. Within our areas of operation – preschool, primary school, and child and student health services – we are here for children and students. Together, we shape the future.

Bosgårdsskolan is one of Varberg's largest primary schools, located in Tvååker where society meets nature. Here, approximately 580 students and 80 employees meet every day.

Currently, we are in a phase of renewal as Bosgårdsskolan is facing a comprehensive renovation. Therefore, our operations are currently spread across premises in both Tvååker and central Varberg. We continue to drive our pedagogical development with the same high ambition while we wait to return to our new premises.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a PE teacher with us, you have a responsibility to provide students with the prerequisites to develop a versatile motor ability and a good body image. You will become part of a collegium where we together create the best possible meeting for learning and ensure that the teaching gives students the tools to understand health factors and how physical activity affects overall well-being.

With us, you get the opportunity to design teaching that covers both complex movement forms in different physical contexts and stays in nature and outdoor environments during different seasons.

Main responsibilities:

• Plan, implement, and evaluate teaching in physical education and health.
• Create conditions for all students to participate in games, sports, and other physical activities according to their own ability.
• Create a safe and motivating learning environment that promotes students' physical, mental, and social health.
• Conduct teaching in outdoor life and safety, including handling emergencies at water and on ice.
• Apply formative assessment and document students' knowledge development against the curriculum's criteria.
• Actively contribute to the school's joint work on safety, core values, and good relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in the role, you have a special ability to create engagement and motivate students to challenge their motor abilities in different environments. You show judgment in your pedagogical leadership, which is crucial to ensure a safe and secure learning environment, especially during outdoor activities or in water. As part of the school team, you collaborate professionally with colleagues to support the students' overall development, and you adapt your working methods to meet the variation in students' motor and social prerequisites.

We are looking for you who:

• Are a certified teacher with qualifications in physical education and health for grades 1-6.
• Have good communication skills and can collaborate professionally with students, colleagues, and guardians.
• Have the ability to base your teaching on proven experience and scientific foundation.
• Show skill in planning and following up on operations systematically based on given frameworks.
• Have good assessment skills to follow up on students' development and give constructive feedback.
• Have clear planning skills to structure lessons and work areas.

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 3-6 months, start date: 2026-08-10. Start date by agreement, end date: 2026-12-18.
