Your responsibilities

As a special educator/special teacher, you are an important part of the work to create an accessible and inclusive learning environment where students are given the best possible conditions to develop and achieve their goals.

You work closely with teaching teachers and strengthen the teaching by being a pedagogical support in the classroom. Together, you plan and implement teaching and adaptations that meet the students' different needs and conditions.

The assignment also includes carrying out parts of the support measures offered to students and following up on how the support works in practice. You act as an important link between teaching teachers and the school's central support organization, contributing to ensuring that the right measures are implemented at the right time.

You become part of a work team where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a shared responsibility for the students' development are a natural part of everyday life. Together, you work to create a safe, structured, and motivating school environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who are at least a certified primary school teacher and have education as a special educator or special teacher. You have a great interest in creating accessible learning environments and see the value of working closely with both students and colleagues.

To succeed in the role, we believe you have experience in providing pedagogical support to students in upper secondary school and feel confident in collaborating with teaching teachers regarding adaptations and support measures.

Requirements

If you are offered employment within the upper secondary and adapted upper secondary school at the Department of Education and Labour Market, you will need to present an extract from the Police's criminal record register for work in schools or preschools. The extract is free to order but may take up to 2–3 weeks for the Police to process. We therefore recommend that you order the extract in good time.

Before employment, you need to show that you have the right to work, which is required according to the Aliens Ordinance. You do this by proving your citizenship within the EU/EEA or Switzerland with a passport, national ID card, or certificate of personal data together with an identity document. If you cannot do this, you need to present a work permit or show that you are exempt from the obligation to have a work permit.

The position will be filled subject to necessary decisions being made.

In the recruitment process, we may use psychometric tests as part of the selection work.
