About the Assignment

We are now looking for a Construction Manager who wants to contribute to Trafikverket's continued work on the Norrbotniabanan railway – one of Sweden's largest and most significant infrastructure investments.

Trafikverket's business area Major Projects is responsible for driving some of the country's most extensive and complex infrastructure investments. As one of the largest construction clients in the Nordics, Trafikverket plays a central role in societal development and ensures that projects are carried out on time, within budget, and with high quality.

About the Role

In the role of Construction Manager, you work closely with the project management and are responsible for driving, coordinating, and following up on contracts during the production phase. You play a key role in the daily work by ensuring structure, progress, quality, and clear communication between the project's stakeholders.

The assignment includes, among other things:

• Supporting the project manager and following up on time, quality, and cost
• Maintaining ongoing contact with contractors and ensuring good progress
• Ensuring that contracts, requirements, permits, and regulations are followed
• Following up on work, documentation, and the contractor's self-control measures
• Identifying risks, proposing measures, and reporting to project management
• Participating in inspections, surveys, and handovers
• Contributing to collaboration and coordination between adjacent contracts

This assignment requires a personal car as business travel to Robertsfors occurs approximately 3–5 times per week.

Compulsory Requirements

All requirements must be clearly stated in the CV, including periods, assignments, scope, and responsibilities.

• At least 5 years of experience as Site Manager, Construction Manager, Sub-project Manager, Project Manager, Design Manager, Lead Consultant, or similar for assignments concerning civil engineering contracts within road and/or railway. The work experience must not be older than 10 years (Minimum 75% employment rate per year of experience).
• At least 3 years of the above experience must be as a Construction Manager within earthworks projects. Plus at least one approved reference assignment.
• Work experience with AMA Anläggning 20 or later edition.
• Work experience with General Conditions, AB04.
• Category B driver's license and access to a personal car.

Assignment Information

The assignment must start no later than March 2026 but can start from February 2026 up to 24 months from when the contract enters into force.

Option: Trafikverket may unilaterally extend the contract up to three times, one year at a time, under the same terms as the original contract.

Scope: The estimated utilization rate for the assignment is 90–100 percent of annual working hours (approx. 1,700 hours).

The base location for the resource consultant is Umeå. After agreement with the client, the resource has the opportunity to work at the project office in Skellefteå. This assignment requires physical presence at Trafikverket's office/project 5 days a week.
