As a Professional Information Officer at Skaraborg Regiment (P 4), you will play a central role in attracting, informing, and motivating conscripts and employees to continue their engagement within the Swedish Armed Forces. You will become an important part of the unit's work to ensure future competence supply and contribute to building our combat units.

About the Position

You will belong to P 4 Recruitment, which is part of the HR department and the Regimental Staff. You will be supervised by the Recruitment Coordinator and work closely with the unit's school information officers, focusing on supporting P 4 and the Swedish Armed Forces' recruitment goals.

You will have a varied daily routine with significant personal responsibility, where you plan, execute, and develop activities that contribute to attracting, recruiting, and retaining personnel. The role involves many contact points within the unit and good opportunities to build networks and develop professionally.

Responsibilities

As a Professional Information Officer, you will among other things:

  • Plan, execute, and evaluate professional information sessions, recruitment activities, and attraction events.
  • Be a key person for the basic training companies regarding questions related to recruitment and attraction.
  • Support the Recruitment Coordinator in projects and development work related to attraction, recruitment, and personnel supply.
  • Be responsible for collaboration with voluntary organizations and support the implementation of their training at P 4.
  • Participate in the work with NVK (National Service Commission) and support the unit's NOAK forum.
  • Inform, guide, and motivate conscripts and employees to continue their engagement through studies or employment within the Swedish Armed Forces.
  • Participate in fairs and other internal and external activities where the Swedish Armed Forces meet future employees.

The position also offers good opportunities to participate in exercises and activities together with conscripts and employees. To succeed in the role, you need to have a good understanding of the unit's operations and be able to build trusting relationships with both conscripts and employees.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Passed military basic training.
  • Category B driver's license.
  • Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.

Merits

  • Current or previous employment as GSS/K at Skaraborg Regiment.
  • Experience in information, recruitment, or attraction work.
  • Leadership experience, for example as group leader, instructor, or youth leader.
  • Military service permit.
  • Interest in or experience from instructor reinforcement of basic training.

Personal Attributes

Other Information

Employment type: Fixed-term employment as a continuously serving soldier (GSS/K). The Swedish Armed Forces apply a six-month probation period for those not already employed by the agency.

Employment level: Full-time

Work location: Skövde

Business travel: The job involves some travel, as well as evening and weekend duty.

Start date: According to agreement

Skaraborg Regiment, P 4 has operations from Älvdalen in the north to Remmene in the south. The command is located in Skövde, where the majority of conscript training takes place. The regiment's task is to recruit and train conscripts and personnel for two armored battalions, a heavy transport company, and a brigade reconnaissance company.
