About the Service Department

The Service Department is responsible for ensuring that all children, young people, and adults receive nutritious meals in the municipality's preschools, schools, and special housing facilities. We strive for climate-smart cooking, organic ingredients, and meals prepared from scratch.

Our department has 18 kitchens: nine in preschools, one in elderly care, and eight in schools. Meals are prepared in eleven of these kitchens, while the remaining six are serving kitchens where food is delivered ready to serve.

Job Responsibilities

Pool Chef – A flexible and developmental role with us!

As a pool chef with resource shifts, you will have a varied and dynamic workday where you work in several of the facility's kitchens. Your primary placement is in the elderly care kitchen "Uranus," which serves as your base.

In this role, you are responsible for preparing delicious, nutritious, and well-cooked meals for our guests. You also contribute to daily kitchen tasks such as serving, dishwashing, cleaning, and self-control checks. Through your work, you help create both quality and dining joy in every interaction with our guests. Some product ordering may also be included in the duties.

You have a basic schedule at Uranus, where we daily prepare and cook meals for special housing facilities as well as our own restaurant. As needed, you will also work in other kitchens within the municipality, giving you the opportunity to broaden your skills and get to know more colleagues in the organization.

Working hours are during the day, with shifts every other weekend.

Qualifications and Merits

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a trained chef.
• Has experience as a chef from large-scale kitchens and/or the restaurant industry.
• Has knowledge of various types of special diets, self-control procedures, and product ordering.
• Has good computer skills.
• Has a B driver's license.
• Can express themselves well in spoken and written Swedish, as the job involves a significant amount of oral and written communication.

Experience working with the diet data system Mashie is considered a merit.

To succeed in this role, you must be incredibly flexible, adaptable to changing circumstances, and appreciate the variation the job offers.

You plan, organize, prioritize, and take responsibility for your tasks. You remain calm, stable, and in control during stressful situations. It is important that you are confident in yourself and have excellent teamwork skills. To succeed, you must be driven to contribute to the development of the operations and the food served to our guests. Personal suitability will be given great weight.
