Technical Procurement Assistant – Contribute to Smart and Sustainable Material Choices

About the Role

As a Technical Procurement Assistant, you will work as a consultant via Jefferson Wells at one of our clients – a leading player in the high-tech industry. This is a staffing assignment with good opportunities for long-term conversion to direct employment with the client.

In this role, you work at the intersection of technology and procurement. You play a vital part in ensuring correct article data and material selection, acting as a support to buyers on technical matters related to suppliers and production prerequisites.

You will analyze technical documentation, manage material data in systems, and contribute to cost-effective purchasing. The role involves close collaboration with project managers, designers, and buyers across various projects.

You will report to the Section Manager for Technical Procurement Support.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Create and maintain procurement articles in the material catalog
• Ensure mandatory attributes are correctly registered
• Generate and manage purchase requisitions based on system and project needs
• Consolidate purchases to achieve cost-effective solutions
• Procure materials for projects with long-term delivery plans (forecast purchasing)
• Support buyers with technical expertise in dialogues with suppliers
• Contribute to collaboration between internal functions and project teams

Your Profile

To succeed in this role, we look for someone with a structured work approach who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You are self-motivated, meticulous, and have a good ability to plan your work.

You collaborate easily and build good relationships with both colleagues and external parties. Furthermore, you have a technical interest and appreciate working with details and analysis.

We are looking for someone who has

• 3–8 years of experience in a relevant field
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Good knowledge of the Office package

The following are meritorious

• Experience in spare parts procurement (technical and procurement)
• Knowledge of different material types
• Relevant educational background
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
