Beslag & Metall is a family-owned company located in Ekenässjön with over 85 years of experience in stamping, welding, and assembly. We continuously expand and renew our machinery with automatic presses and automation cells. We manufacture and deliver components primarily to the automotive industry, with our largest customers being Volvo Trucks and Scania. With approximately 230 employees and a turnover of around 950 million SEK, we are now looking to strengthen our organization with a Production Manager for the Tooling Department.

The Tooling Department is responsible for both the design and manufacturing of tools. We have access to a modern machine park, consisting of several 3- and 5-axis multi-operation machines, wire EDMs, as well as manual milling machines, lathes, and surface grinders. In addition to tool manufacturing, we serve as technical support for the marketing department during new inquiries and article changes.

Your Responsibilities

In the role of Production Manager for the Tooling Department, you will, together with the Department Manager, lead and develop the department and the approximately 20 employees working there. The position offers excellent opportunities to influence and put your own stamp on the department's continued development.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Personnel responsibility, focusing on leading, coaching, and developing employees.
• Developing the department and driving improvement work.
• Collaborating with other internal functions such as engineering, maintenance, purchasing, planning, project management, and quality. The role involves close cooperation with production.
• Ensuring a good and safe working environment.
• Leading and distributing work.
• Setting, following up on, and analyzing goals for both employees and the department as a whole.

Your Background and Qualities

You might currently work as a toolmaker, team leader, shift leader, or designer and are ready to take the next step in your career. Experience in tool manufacturing and tool maintenance is advantageous. Knowledge of Monitor ERP, SolidWorks, Catia, and Mastercam, as well as experience in the automotive industry, is also considered an advantage.
