About the Position

At Prästbordet, we are looking for an inspiring and engaged recess teacher with a focus on art who wants to help shape our after-school activities. At our school, preparation time between different assignments is a given. As a recess teacher, your planning time is scheduled during school hours, both individually and jointly within the work team.

About the Workplace

Prästbordet School is located in a residential area in central Sollefteå and is integrated with a preschool and an after-school center. The school accommodates approximately 90 students from preschool class to grade three. The school is located in immediate proximity to forests and nature. The local environment is used in teaching, and students have access to a school forest with wind shelters and a barbecue area. The school's vision is to create a school with a calm and permissive learning climate. A school where students feel safe and which develops their ability to take personal responsibility for their daily education.

The after-school center's vision is that all students should feel safe and happy, and that they have a meaningful leisure time in accordance with the governing documents.

Job Responsibilities

You want to make a difference for our students by believing in their abilities and encouraging creativity and curiosity. You will show and make it clear to each student that they can succeed in big and small matters throughout the day. During the school day, you will work as a collaborative recess teacher. Your duties during the school day will include teaching in art. We also focus on meaningful breaks with break activities, and you will be one of our responsible and valuable break supervisors.

Together with the work team, you are responsible for planning and implementing teaching based on the curriculum for after-school centers. You lead and develop the pedagogical work and create the best possible conditions for each student.

Additionally, the work involves continuing to contribute to making Prästbordet School and the after-school center a place where every student wants to be, feels happy, and develops to reach their full potential. In the afternoons, the after-school center conducts pedagogical activities based on Part 4 of the after-school center curriculum.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified recess teacher, have a positive outlook, and believe in people. Understanding the value of relationships with both students and guardians as well as colleagues is likely your greatest strength. Furthermore, you are a skilled and engaged recess teacher who prioritizes the after-school center's operations.
