Temporary Position in Acute Pediatrics – Akademiska Barnsjukhuset

Our Operations

Akademiska Barnsjukhuset provides broad and highly specialized pediatric care with close cooperation between the different specialties and the rest of the hospital. Research, teaching, and continuous development are important components of our work.

We are now looking for you who have an interest in pediatrics and wish to work primarily in acute pediatrics for 6 months. The positions are temporary assignments for two of our specialty trainee physicians (ST-läkare), one of whom is on parental leave and the other on leave of absence for half a year.

Your Role

Your placements will be at our pediatric emergency clinic and our acute care ward, and as needed, at our pediatric neurology ward. After an introduction period, you will join the on-call team.

Depending on staffing needs until spring 2027, the temporary assignments may be extended. If there is room for additional specialty trainee positions, they will be advertised.

You will be assigned a supervisor during your temporary assignment, which means that you can credit this service time towards a future specialty training position.

Your Qualifications

You must have a Swedish medical license, good teamwork and communication skills, and an interest in pediatrics. Great emphasis is placed on your personal qualities and your ability to contribute to the operations. Experience from previous employment in pediatric care is a merit, as is research activity related to Akademiska Barnsjukhuset.
