We are looking to strengthen our team in clinical practice and teaching, with a focus on emergency care and surgery for horses. We are seeking a person who is interested in emergency care within the field of equine surgery and who, under supervision, wishes to further develop their clinical competence in this subject. Are you an experienced veterinarian or new to the profession, and do you want to develop together with our fantastic veterinary and teaching team? Apply now and seize the opportunity to contribute to the future of veterinary medicine!
About the job
The duties include clinical work in emergency care and surgery, practical and theoretical teaching, and examination of veterinary students in large animal surgery for horses. Administrative tasks, such as course leadership and departmental work, may also occur. As part of the onboarding process, an individualized education plan will be created for you.
Your primary affiliation will be with the teaching group in surgery. As part of the workgroup, you will contribute to staffing the emergency reception as well as the outpatient clinic and/or care unit for the horse department at UDS, depending on your competence profile and focus. On-call duties may apply.
Your background
You hold a Swedish veterinary license and have an interest in emergency care within equine surgery. You wish to further develop your clinical competence in the subject under supervision. You are interested in educating veterinary students and participating in clinical research projects within the field.
You express yourself well orally and in writing in both Swedish and English.
Experience in equine healthcare, as well as interest and experience in clinical supervision of students, is an advantage.
Good teamwork skills, flexibility, high motivation, and engagement are important, as is the ability to work both independently and in a group. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and abilities.
