Our Operations

The Surgical Anesthesia and Operating Department is a highly specialized unit where we provide advanced surgical care in several areas. Procedures performed here include liver and pancreatic surgery, kidney and pancreas transplants, colorectal surgery, esophageal and gastric surgery, urology, vascular surgery, as well as emergency and trauma surgery.

Your Role

As an Assistant Nurse (Undersköterska) in the Surgical Anesthesia and Operating Department, you are a vital part of the perioperative team. You work closely with anesthesiologists, operating room nurses, and physicians to create the best conditions for safe and secure care throughout the patient's entire care journey.

Duties include, but are not limited to, patient care before, during, and after surgery, preparation of operating rooms, material handling, and ensuring that equipment and facilities are in order. The work is varied, and no two days are alike.

As we are a training department, we regularly receive students, which means that mentoring and introducing new colleagues and students may be part of your role.

Your Qualifications

• We are looking for you who are a trained Assistant Nurse and have obtained proof of a protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare (a copy of the degree certificate must be attached to the application).
• We prefer that you have several years of experience from similar work in operating departments or emergency care, which is considered a merit.
• Swedish language skills at level C1 are required.
