About Äsperödsskolan

Äsperödsskolan is a preschool to year 6 school (F-6) with approximately 350 students. It is located in eastern Uddevalla, close to forests and open land, where we have our own school forest. The staff working here are highly qualified, engaged, and eager to develop. We are characterized by an organization with one class per age group, where we work in teams involving multiple professions. We have school-wide projects, and all classes have outdoor lessons at least once a week. This contributes to community and security, which supports higher goal achievement. Our developed security work focuses heavily on break-time activities and well-being, with many adults present.

Responsibilities

You will work as a class teacher and mentor students in one of the years F-3. The role includes teaching in accordance with current governing documents. You will be part of an F-3 work team and, through collegial meetings, develop the school's operations together with us.

Your duties include those associated with a teacher role involving mentorship, attending work team meetings, pedagogical meetings, student health board meetings, etc.

Qualifications

Good cooperation between colleagues, guardians, and students is important to us, as we work extensively cross-subject and cross-class in our teaching. We want you to be a good leader in the classroom with clarity in communication, goals, and results. You possess qualities including structure, flexibility, and creativity. You are well-versed in the governing documents for compulsory school and use formative assessment as a natural part of teaching. ICT is a natural part of our teaching, so we view it positively if you have this knowledge or an interest in learning it. Naturally, you should have an interest in developing the school into a positive place for everyone.
