About the Company
Scandinavian Crusher Partner AB (SCP) is an expanding and entrepreneur-driven company with strong roots in the construction, mining, and crushing industries. With customers such as LKAB, Boliden, Skanska, NCC, and Peab, we deliver machines, wear parts, and spare parts that meet high technological standards and contribute to efficient production in tough environments. We have been profitable every year since our founding in 2010 and have a stable, long-term shareholder in Spiltan Invest. We are currently taking a major step onto the European market and continuing our growth journey in our new premises in Staffanstorp. To future-proof our supply chain and our promise of fast deliveries, we are now looking for a business-driven and technically interested Strategic Purchaser. In this recruitment process, we collaborate with Wikan Personal.
Your Responsibilities
As a Strategic Purchaser with us, you will play a key role in our continued growth. Our business idea is based on offering the right parts at the right time to minimize our customers' downtime – this places high demands on a smart and efficient supply chain. You will be responsible for the entire purchasing process, from identifying and evaluating global suppliers to negotiating and implementing long-term cooperation agreements. You will work closely with our management, sales organization, and warehouse to ensure we have optimal stock levels, the right quality (including ISO requirements), and the best purchasing prices on the market. Your main responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a long-term purchasing strategy for our wear and spare parts, machines, etc.
- Sourcing, evaluation, and quality assurance of new and existing suppliers, both in Europe and globally.
- Negotiate prices, delivery terms, and sign supplier agreements.
- Continuously work on cost savings and lead time optimization without compromising on quality.
- Close collaboration with the warehouse manager and inside sales to sync forecasts with purchasing needs (optimizing inventory balances to secure our 24-hour delivery guarantee).
- Drive process and improvement work within purchasing in our business system (Pyramid).
- Monitor the external environment regarding raw material prices, freight markets, and currency fluctuations that affect our industry.
Your Background/Personal Qualities
The successful candidate will have post-secondary education in purchasing, Supply Chain Management, economics, or engineering, along with experience in strategic purchasing, preferably from the manufacturing industry, heavy industry, mining, or construction sector. You are a confident negotiator driven by making good deals and building strong relationships. You have a good technical understanding that allows you to quickly grasp the specifications and quality requirements for tough environments of our products. You are accustomed to working in business systems (experience with Pyramid is highly meritorious), have good knowledge of Excel, and speak and write fluently in Swedish and English. As a person, you are business-minded, analytical, and structured. You thrive in an entrepreneurial company with short decision-making paths where you are expected to take significant personal responsibility. You have the ability to see the big picture in the supply chain, from the supplier's factory shelf to our end customer's rock crusher.
What We Offer You
We offer a responsible, broad, and developing position in a stable and family-like company with high ceilings. We are today a tight team of approx. 12 people where your contribution will make a direct, measurable difference. You will be an important part of our continued growth journey. We offer good employment conditions, mandatory joy of work initiatives, wellness benefits, a market-competitive salary, and a bonus program.
