In this role, you will meet and support elderly people who need help in their daily lives, as well as children, young people, and adults with varying needs. Tasks may include cooking, cleaning, engaging in daily activities, or going shopping together. You will also assist with dressing and undressing, hygiene tasks such as showering, and toilet visits.
Your Responsibilities
At our organization, we base our work on the individual customer's/user's needs and wishes to provide good, close care and support.
Nurse Assistant/Care Assistant Home Care
You travel primarily by car and sometimes by bicycle between clients, helping with daily routines at home such as dressing, assistance with showering, handing out medication, and providing the individual support the client needs.
Nurse Assistant/Care Assistant Care and Support Housing
You assist residents in housing facilities with daily routines such as dressing, assistance with showering, handing out medication, and providing the individual support the resident needs. On some wards, it is particularly important to have staff who can spread calm and security to the residents.
Support Assistant
You work pedagogically in a group home or service apartment, providing support and care with the goal of strengthening the individual's abilities and independence through motivation and guidance. The people you meet may have extensive physical, mental, or intellectual functional variations. Responsibilities include personal care, support with medication, household chores such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping, as well as participating in and encouraging various activities.
Personal Assistant
You work to provide daily support to a person in their home, based on the individual's own needs and wishes. This is a meaningful assignment where you enable someone with extensive functional variations to live an independent and active life. The support may include both practical daily tasks and leisure activities, always with a focus on strengthening the user's independence. Responsibilities include personal care and may also involve delegated tasks, such as administering medication. The user's life situation and wishes guide the work.
Your Qualifications
Requirements:
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
- Ability to work with both male and female clients/users as well as colleagues.
- Flexible, responsible, and with a genuine interest in working with people.
Meritorious:
- Educated or currently studying on the Care and Nursing Program.
- Educated or currently studying on the Child and Youth Program with a focus on pedagogical and social work.
- Experience working in care and nursing.
- Valid driver's license (Category B).
- Ability to cycle.

You have a good manner of dealing with people, are responsible, flexible, and have both initiative and teamwork skills. To work in care and nursing, you are required to show an extract from the criminal record register (Work in the home with elderly and persons with disabilities, e-service | Police Authority).
