Description

We are now looking for a teacher for instruction in mathematics, Natural Sciences (NO), and Technology at Montessoriskolan Elyseum.

Montessoriskolan Elyseum is a municipal primary school for grades 6–9. Since 2015, the school has been located in renovated premises at Västgötagatan 2, in the same building as the energy history collections, Elyseum, situated between Heden and Ullevi. We want to give all students the opportunity to develop based on their individual prerequisites. We aim to stimulate students' creativity, curiosity, and self-confidence, value their ideas, and promote social competence.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on instruction at both group and individual levels. You are also responsible for adapting the regular class instruction in such a way that you meet the student where they are. Together with your colleagues, you design a developmental, joyful, and varied school day with the students' best interests in focus.

To ensure that you, as a newly graduated teacher, get the best possible start in your profession, you will participate in the Primary School Administration's Teacher Academy introduction program for newly graduated teachers. This introduction provides you with a network of other newly graduated teachers and targeted activities during your first year as a teacher.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with the eligibility to teach mathematics, Natural Sciences (NO), and Technology for grades 6–9. It is an advantage if you have a few years of experience in the teaching profession, but we also welcome applications from newly graduated teachers. Education in and/or experience with Montessori pedagogy is an advantage.
