Your Role

Do you want to work with technology that makes a difference – and at the same time contribute to protecting our fighter pilots? At Saab, we are now looking for dedicated engineers for the Aircrew Equipment section. Here you will have the opportunity to work on the development of Gripen flight crew equipment in a team with a broad technical scope, good atmosphere, and high innovation capacity. Aircrew Equipment is responsible for equipment that helps pilots perform their missions safely and efficiently.

As a Systems Engineer working with the Gripen, you will develop, procure, and maintain the equipment for Gripen pilots – including helmet systems, suit systems, and survival systems. You will become part of a knowledgeable team where collaboration and technical curiosity are at the center. The position is versatile and offers you the opportunity to both broaden and deepen your competence. You will have many contact points within Saab and work closely with both internal units and external suppliers.

Examples of tasks:

• Development of systems and devices
• Requirements breakdown and verification
• Technical documentation
• Testing and verification
• Investigation of operational issues
• Maintenance preparation

Your Profile

Requirements for the position:

• Academic degree as a Civil Engineer or University College Engineer, or equivalent competence
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• A genuine technical interest

Merits:

• Education in mechanical engineering, design and product development, textile engineering, or equivalent competence
• Experience in system and/or device development

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to the current regulations for security clearance. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
