Responsibilities

Fjällblomman 5 is a multicultural preschool with four departments, located in a beautiful natural area in northern Rannebergen. Here, we are surrounded by forests and playgrounds that inspire exploration and play. Our operations are characterized by linguistic and cultural diversity, which means we place great emphasis on creating an inclusive environment where all children feel seen and respected.

Many of our children have a mother tongue other than Swedish. Therefore, language-developing methods are a central part of our teaching. We consciously work on developing the children's Swedish language through play, conversation, read-aloud sessions, visual aids, and rich linguistic interaction in everyday life. As a preschool teacher, you play a key role in creating language-rich learning environments where all children are given the opportunity to develop their language and communication skills.

An important part of your assignment is to build good relationships with the children's guardians through clear and respectful communication, including during introductions and development meetings. We use low-affective handling as a central method to create security and promote the children's development.

You lead the pedagogical work together with colleagues in an engaged team. Together, you plan, implement, document, and follow up on the education based on the preschool curriculum. We believe in a way of working where collaboration, responsibility, and clear communication are a natural part of everyday life.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• are a licensed preschool teacher
• have good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• have good knowledge of using digital tools in work

You take responsibility for both your own and the team's tasks and contribute to good collaboration.

You build trusting relationships with children, guardians, and colleagues. You are also sensitive in your handling and show respect and care for others.

You understand that children have different prerequisites and absorb knowledge in different ways. Based on this, you create a safe and developmental environment where every child gets the opportunity to develop at their own pace.

Merits:

• Experience working in multilingual child groups
• Interest in children's language development and communication
• Experience creating accessible learning environments for all children
• Knowledge of and experience working with PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) / TAKK (Signs as Support)
• Experience using visual aids in pedagogical work
• Ability to work with a low-affective and pedagogical approach
• Experience with thematic and project-oriented working methods, which presupposes that children's abilities and interests are utilized in the teaching

At the Preschool Administration, you give children opportunities for a good future. Every day! We are responsible for education and care for approximately 25,000 children in nearly 350 municipal preschools. The administration has about 7,000 employees distributed across approximately 75 professions.
