We are looking for a Specialist Nurse Assistant for our new transitional care unit!

Do you want to be part of the launch and contribute to the development of our new transitional care unit? We are now looking for a specialist nurse assistant who wants to work with both transitional care and safe haven placements. The operations are located at Ytterbyhemmet.

What is transitional care and safe haven placement?

Transitional care is a measure within elderly care that involves a person alternating between living at home and staying at the transitional care unit for shorter, planned periods.

Safe haven placement is for when unforeseen events occur and a person quickly needs care and security that cannot be arranged at home.

As a specialist nurse assistant, you will work within both transitional care and safe haven placements, contributing to security, activity, and quality of life for our guests.

Through special ombudsman roles, you will have the opportunity to deepen your expertise and contribute to making the quality for our guests as broad and strong as possible.

Your working hours include day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Patient-centered care and activation.
• Planning and execution of daily activities.
• Collaboration with relatives and other professional groups.
• Documentation according to current routines.
• Support with personal hygiene, meals, and medication management.
• Performing daily chores such as cleaning and laundry.
• Handling alarms.

🎓 Requirements

• Educated as a specialist nurse assistant with 200 vocational higher education credits/60 university credits relevant to the care and support of the elderly.
• Protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare/service certificate confirming that you were employed permanently with the title of specialist nurse assistant on July 1, 2023.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both oral and written.
• Good teamwork skills and ability to work with quality awareness.
• Experience working with dementia, residential care, and day activities.
• Experience in psychiatry.
• Good ability to create security and structure.
• Knowledge of documentation and digital tools.
• Physical fitness, as heavy lifting may occur.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).
