About the Position
The Housing and Support Unit (BOOST) is led by a unit manager and two group leaders. The unit includes Traststigen, which is a psychiatric residence for adults with psychiatric disabilities, Henjahemmet, a residence for adults with substance abuse issues, Kastanjegården supported housing for youth aged 16–20, and Kastanjegården HVB for youth aged 13–20.
We are currently looking for a housing support worker to work at Traststigen.
Traststigen’s psychiatric residence is located in Gislaved and is a service apartment with 12 places. We admit residents based on decisions under both the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) and the SoL (Social Services Act).
Responsibilities
You will support, motivate, and coach individuals to create a functional, meaningful, and independent daily life. Your work involves supporting the individual based on their conditions and abilities.
You will collaborate with various professions to ensure good and quality care. A key part of your job is documenting in the operational system Combine, which means continuously updating implementation plans, making journal notes, and ensuring that all documentation is correct and up-to-date.
At Traststigen, we handle a large number of medications, so delegating health and medical care tasks is also part of your assignment.
It is important that you have a low-affective and good approach, as well as an attitude that creates trust and security for the individuals.
Qualifications

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability, and we are looking for someone who is secure, sensitive, humble, stress-resistant, and has a good approach.
We would appreciate it if you have previous experience working with people who have extensive mental health issues.
You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, good computer skills, and experience with documentation.
We would appreciate it if you have knowledge of motivational interviewing and low-affective approach. Your teamwork should include the ability to collaborate and participate in both your own and the operation's development. With us, this means you have good cooperation with managers and colleagues, both at your own workplace and within other parts of the municipal group. You take responsibility for being involved in operational issues and are solution-oriented.
To ensure security for our users, a register check is conducted according to law (2026:43 – the law on register checks when working in the home for elderly persons or adults with disabilities). The candidate offered employment must provide extracts from the criminal and suspicion register before the employment can begin.
Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis.
We Offer:
- A strong sense of team spirit with colleagues
- Paid vacation from the first year of employment
- Free entry to the municipality's swimming pools
Send in your application and become part of our dedicated team at Traststigen's service residence!
