About the role

As a Compliance Coordinator, you will become part of our Compliance team. You will handle your clients' environmental and fire safety cases based on current laws and regulations, working independently from start to finish.

This is an active and driving role, not just an administrative one. You don't just manage incoming tasks; you stay ahead of the curve: identifying client needs, engaging with authorities, and ensuring results are achieved.

In this role, you will:

• Manage permit cases within environmental and fire safety – including handling authority contacts throughout the process
• Interpret and apply current environmental and fire safety legislation in concrete cases
• Support clients' self-control and regulatory compliance
• Coordinate and communicate with clients, authorities, contractors, and other partners throughout the case lifecycle
• Build long-term customer relationships and serve as a reliable sounding board for complex cases

Most importantly, we are looking for someone with experience in handling environmental and/or fire safety cases based on current legislation, who is confident in driving them forward independently. This experience weighs heavier than a specific degree, although relevant education is certainly a plus.

We would like you to:

• Have experience with environmental cases, fire safety cases, permit management, or authority work (e.g., as a case officer, environmental inspector, or fire safety consultant)
• Be accustomed to interpreting laws and regulations and applying them in practice
• Drive cases forward with both precision and initiative – knowing when the documentation is sufficient and when it is time to act
• Be naturally curious and enjoy diving into new industries, regulations, and technical contexts
• Communicate clearly and confidently – with clients, authorities, and contractors
• Thrive in a team where people genuinely help each other and contribute as much as they receive

Meritorious:

• Background from public authorities, as well as experience with fuels, flammable goods, hazardous waste, car washing, hydrogen, biogas, or facility operations.
