We warmly welcome your application for the position of Registered Nurse in Home Care Services at Falu Municipality!

Responsibilities

As a nurse in municipal health and social care, you will lead nursing care in ordinary housing. You will collaborate with care assistants, assistant nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and unit managers. You will also cooperate with primary care, inpatient care, and other stakeholders, taking a holistic view of the patient. You will have overall patient responsibility, which includes conducting your own assessments, sample collection, wound dressing, medication management, injections, diabetes care, palliative care, and other common nursing tasks. You are responsible for prescribing assistive devices, e.g., pressure-relieving mattresses. The role also involves preventing diseases and complications such as falls, malnutrition, and mental health issues.

As a nurse, you will also supervise, train, and delegate tasks to staff regarding nursing and health care interventions.

Qualifications

Requirements for the role:

• Registered Nurse license
• Valid driver's license (Category B)
• Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written

Meritorious Qualifications

• Specialist education in elderly care
• District Nurse education
• Further education in dementia care
• Previous experience in municipal health and social care
• Other relevant further education for the position

Employment Terms

Permanent full-time position with start date by agreement. Scheduled working hours 38.25 hours/week, mostly daytime. Weekend and evening shifts are included; currently every 5th weekend plus approx. 7 early and evening shifts within a 10-week period.
