We are in an exciting phase of development and are now strengthening our organization by adding another special needs pedagogue. Together with the school's current special needs pedagogue, you will become a key person in further developing our special needs pedagogical work.

Källeskolan is a centrally located school in Skara with approximately 300 students. The school has a well-developed student health team that works across the entire school area to create an equitable school where all students are given the conditions to achieve good results.

The school has three work teams (Pre-K to Grade 3, Grades 4-6, and after-school care), grade teams for each year group, and two after-school departments. In addition to class teachers, there are Swedish as a Second Language (Sva) teachers and special needs teachers, as well as a student health team on site every day. We have experienced staff who, together with the students, create a good learning environment through a common approach and common rules of conduct. Our students have access to a large schoolyard and, due to the school's central location, access to nearby sports fields and green areas, which promote physical activity and creative outdoor stays. The school's core values of safety, learning, and motivation permeate the entire day.

The Role

As a special needs pedagogue, you work to ensure that extra adjustments, special support, and action plans are implemented, followed up on, evaluated, and documented according to legal requirements and regulatory documents. Working with pedagogical investigations and mapping is part of the special needs pedagogical assignment.

You act as a conversation partner and advisor in special needs pedagogical matters towards colleagues, guardians, and the principal, and work closely with students in need of special support in the classroom or in smaller settings. You are involved in systematically improving learning environments for higher goal fulfillment.

You are part of the school's development group together with the school leadership and lead teachers, where school development and quality work are central. You will also become part of a central network with other special needs pedagogues in the administration.

Qualifications

• Degree in Special Needs Pedagogy
• You are a confident pedagogical leader
• Good ability to collaborate and cooperate with students, guardians, principals, colleagues, and other authorities.
• Good ability to independently structure, plan, organize, and follow up on pedagogical work.
• Good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing.

Personal suitability is given great weight.
