About the Organization

Strömslund School is located on the west side of the river in Trollhättan and has students from preschool class to grade 9. Here you will meet a safe and well-functioning school with good academic results, a high proportion of certified teachers, and strong collegial learning. At Strömslund School, there are students from preschool class to grade 9, as well as an after-school center. Our students feel safe at school and achieve good results. The operations are characterized by cooperation, commitment, and a desire to constantly develop.

We are now looking for an engaged substitute teacher for a varied assignment where you will combine teaching, joy of movement, and work at the after-school center, as well as Social Studies (SO) teaching in grade 6.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will have a varied and stimulating daily routine where you divide your time between teaching and after-school activities.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Planning, implementing, and evaluating Physical Education and Health teaching for students in preschool class to grade 4.
• Teaching Social Studies (SO) subjects in grade 6.
• Working at the after-school center and contributing to a meaningful and developmental activity for the students.

As a substitute teacher with us, you will become part of a supportive work team where you receive support in planning and teaching.

Qualifications

We are primarily looking for you who are a certified teacher in after-school education or have a teaching certification with eligibility in Physical Education and Health. Eligibility to teach Social Studies subjects at the middle school level is an advantage.

If you have started a teacher education program or have other experience that the employer considers equivalent, you are also welcome to apply.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has clear and secure leadership skills.
• Has good pedagogical ability and can create structure in both the classroom and the gym.
• Sees the students' opportunities and adapts teaching to their needs.
• Is well rooted in the school's value base and works relationally with students, guardians, and colleagues.
