Broskolan is beautifully situated in Svedjeholmen in the southwestern part of Örnsköldsvik. The school is an independent primary school with a confessional Christian orientation, covering grades F–9, a leisure-time center (fritidshem), and two preschool departments. The school has approximately 140 students in mixed classes. In addition to teachers, the school employs staff for school administration, student health services, kitchen, cleaning, and maintenance.

During the spring term of 2018, Broskolan worked on developing a pedagogy aimed at increasing students' physical well-being, participation, and academic results. This school development work will continue to be refined for the benefit of both students and educators regarding teaching and education.

In your teaching and educational role as a Science and Technology teacher at Broskolan, we want you to:

• Conduct teaching and assessment in Science (NO) and Technology for grades 5–6.
• Stay updated with current research and wish to develop physics, chemistry, biology, and technology teaching together with students and colleagues, sharing your experiences and supporting and developing everyone's teaching through a pedagogically challenging approach.
• Work to develop teaching so that it is based on scientific grounds and proven experience.
• Provide well-rounded teaching with variation in teaching methods, challenges, and adaptations based on each student's prerequisites.
• Work with student influence in your teaching in such a way that students can develop and own their learning process, and provide feedback to the student that moves them forward in their learning.
• Have a clear student focus in your teaching role in the work with teaching and assessment.
• Be able to create a safe and permissive climate in the classroom through clear structure.
• Be able to build good relationships through curiosity and trust in students and colleagues.
• Have high expectations and confidence in students' abilities, as well as an encouraging and supportive attitude.
• You must share our Christian worldview.

As a Science and Technology teacher at Broskolan, your duties include conducting teaching in biology, physics, chemistry, and technology for grades 5–6.

The position is available according to agreement. The weekly working hours are spread over 3–4 working days per week.

OTHER

Together, we work to make students' school days as good as possible now and in the future. Broskolan applies tobacco-free working hours. For work with children and youth, an extract from the police record of criminal convictions must be presented before employment.
