Your Workplace

Vårdcentralen Skoghall is the third largest health center in Värmland, with a team of around 50 dedicated employees. We are located in a beautiful natural setting in the archipelago municipality of Hammarö – with Lake Vänern and Lillängshaven just a few minutes away.

At our center, you will join a well-functioning team with broad expertise: district doctors, ST, AT, and BT doctors, nurses with specialist competence, psychologists, social workers, pharmacists, assistant nurses, and healthcare administrators. We work closely together in teams and have a strong collaboration with Hammarö Municipality, especially regarding our most vulnerable elderly patients.

We are a secure medical group consisting of 9 district doctors and 6 ST doctors. The health center welcomes students from various professions and offers excellent opportunities for research – currently, two of our doctors are conducting part-time research.

We value continuous professional development and hold regular doctor forums where we share knowledge and develop together.

Your Responsibilities

As a district doctor with us, you will work in a central and autonomous role with a varied and stimulating assignment. You are responsible for both scheduled appointment visits and acute interventions, meeting patients of all ages with a wide range of medical issues.

The role involves overall responsibility for patients, with a focus on continuity, quality, and medical assessments. You will participate in our shared day-on-call duty, which contributes to an even workload distribution, good accessibility for our patients, and a sustainable work environment for the entire medical group.

Here, you become part of an engaged and competent team where we collaborate closely on patient care. We hold regular doctor meetings, and you always have good access to collegial support and medical discussions in daily practice. Together, we prioritize and plan our work to ensure high patient safety and a good work environment.

We offer a workplace where your experience is valued and where you have the opportunity to influence operations, develop working methods, and contribute to the continued development of the health center.

Your Knowledge and Competencies

We are looking for you with specialist competence in general medicine.

As a person, you have good self-awareness and the ability to take responsibility for both your work and your own development. You work independently and proactively, planning and driving your work forward with good judgment, knowing when it is appropriate to seek support.

You have strong collaboration skills and thrive in teams with different professions, contributing to a respectful and solution-oriented work climate. Furthermore, you easily create and maintain trusting relationships with patients, relatives, and colleagues through an attentive, professional, and clear approach. As a specialist, you continuously develop your competence and share it with colleagues.
