Central Hospital in Kristianstad (CSK) is the emergency hospital for northeastern Scania. Here, emergency care is provided around the clock by qualified and dedicated staff. CSK has the resources of a large hospital and the proximity and community spirit of a smaller hospital. We have approximately 2,600 employees.

The Department of Otorhinolaryngology (ENT), with its approximately 65 employees, provides comprehensive specialist care in the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of diseases and disabilities in the ear, nose, and throat area, as well as emergency services. The department has a well-developed medical practice within most of the different directions of the ENT specialty and is supported by its own audiologists and speech therapists. In some ENT diagnostic areas, CSK has a regional assignment, for example, pediatric sleep apnea investigations.

DUTIES

We now welcome two nursing assistants for fixed-term employment to us at the ear clinic in Kristianstad!

As a nursing assistant at the ear clinic, you are offered an interesting and varied job. In your role, you assist doctors at their scheduled clinics, the emergency clinic, and during outpatient surgeries. At the clinic, you as a nursing assistant also have your own clinic, such as a wound clinic, and you are also part of other teams. In the basic staffing, both nursing assistants and sometimes nurses staff the suction position.

Here, you will meet patients of all ages, from newborns to the oldest members of society. No day is like the other, which is the charm of working in our operations. Despite its seemingly small area, the ENT department is a large and broad area, which means there are good development opportunities. The ear clinic is a clinic in development as a generational change among doctors is now in its final stages, resulting in new exciting forms of clinics. We are currently strengthening with care staff so that we can develop the sleep part so that those who are there can concentrate on that part. If we can achieve a positive change, there may eventually be a chance for extension or a permanent employment.

Working hours are during the day, Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 17:00. Every eighth week includes working two evenings with our pediatric sleep apnea investigations. These shifts are currently covered, but changes may occur and then it is part of our assignment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are trained as a nursing assistant and meet the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you studied according to the previous or current program structure. Good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are a requirement. Previous experience in hospital care is also a requirement.

If you have experience working in ear, nose, and throat operations, other clinic work, or emergency care, it is meritorious. It is also an advantage if you have knowledge of the systems Melior and Pasis.
