The business area of Clinical Genetics, Pathology and Molecular Diagnostics has over 450 employees and consists of three sections comprising the medical specialties of clinical genetics and clinical pathology, as well as the method area/platform for molecular diagnostics. Our operations are characterized by very strong development in both technical and medical possibilities due to increasing demand for our diagnostics.

We have clinical pathology operations in Lund, Malmö, Helsingborg, and Kristianstad, while clinical genetics and molecular diagnostics are concentrated in Lund. We perform both basic diagnostics and highly specialized diagnostics, providing specialist competence and consultation expertise within the Southern Healthcare Region. Our operations also include the Centre for Rare Diagnoses. We have a close collaboration with Lund University, and several of our employees conduct successful research related to our operations.

We participate in quality work and care program development at both regional and national levels, and are undergoing an accreditation process to ensure quality assurance of diagnostic areas, document management, and laboratory work. Our diagnostics and diagnostic development are driven by 18 processes that span the entire operation. We are in an exciting phase involving the use of new technology, such as digital image management for routine microscopy, and an ambitious investment in molecular pathology within the framework of the Centre for Molecular Diagnostics.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a Specialty Training Doctor (ST-läkare) for Clinical Pathology with placement in Helsingborg.

As an ST Doctor with us, you will have exciting and varied tasks with good conditions for broad training within our diagnostic areas, as well as the opportunity to participate in development projects and quality work. You will receive an individual study program and a supervisor in accordance with established guidelines for the specialty. Education and research are important parts of our operations, and we have a close collaboration with Lund University, Malmö University, and Kristianstad University.

The operations are conducted in four locations with different profiles, and the training will be located in different places depending on where the best conditions exist for different parts of the training.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed physician with eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at a minimum level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement.

To succeed in the role, you also need to have very good communication skills as well as a developed technical and scientific interest. We expect you to be active in the development of operations within clinical pathology. Personal suitability is of great importance.
