The Safety Unit is part of the Property, Support and Services administration and consists of 9 employees working as specialists in security, security protection, information security, fire safety, crisis management, continuity, and civil defense. The unit's main task is to support the administration's management and the regional areas Internal Services, Construction and Property Management, Operations, as well as Support Services and Regional Coordination. The work is carried out in close collaboration with line managers, property managers, project managers, operations managers, and technical managers in the various regional areas. The work has both operational and strategic characteristics, and collaboration with representatives of the operations is ongoing.

Job Responsibilities

As a Safety Coordinator, you work in a dynamic role where one day you work with strategic tasks and the next day you are out in the operations providing operational support to the different areas. You also function as an internal expert and requirement setter within the areas of security and fire safety, and act as a method leader during risk and vulnerability analyses as well as in continuity management.

The responsibilities include supporting both managers and employees in our various regional areas with systematic security and fire safety work, which implies frequent contact and collaboration. You are part of the Safety Unit where, together with other safety coordinators, you strengthen the unit through active improvement and development work. You will also be involved in the development of the administration's security strategic goals, including associated risk analyses and continuity planning.

Furthermore, you conduct internal training and ensure compliance with regulations, authority requirements, laws, and ordinances. You handle daily case matters regarding security, fire (SBA), and information security, both internally and externally, in collaboration with users of the region's properties. As needed, you participate in internal meetings to identify security issues.

The position is located at Regionens Hus in Skövde. Travel within the Region Västra Götaland may occur, and where possible, we use public transport.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have post-secondary education as a risk engineer, safety coordinator, or another equivalent education that the employer deems relevant. You have a few years of experience in security work, preferably from a larger organization. You also have experience conducting risk and vulnerability analyses within areas such as physical security, continuity, and fire safety. The aforementioned experience has given you good knowledge and understanding of the whole picture within security work and its various areas, as well as knowledge of governing laws, ordinances, and regulations within security and fire safety work. You also have insight into security protection and civil defense, as well as an understanding of requirement setting and the impact on socially vital operations. A Category B driver's license is a requirement for the position, as well as the ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing.

It is meritorious if you:

• Have experience in information security and technical/mechanical security.
• Have experience participating in projects related to new construction and renovation, as well as understanding of different construction phases.

You are a communicative and outgoing person who finds it easy to collaborate with others and is accustomed to working both independently and in a group. You have the ability to maintain and develop existing networks within the administration and the region, as well as establish good relationships with other employees in the administration. You are social, find it easy to talk to and in front of people, and possess a good ability to prioritize and plan your own work.
