Responsibilities
In the role of Heavy Vehicle Inspection Technician with our client in Gothenburg, you are responsible for conducting vehicle technical control inspections in accordance with current regulations. You perform both periodic inspections and re-inspections, document deviations, and clearly communicate the results to vehicle owners. The work also includes functional tests, assessment of safety-critical components, and test driving when necessary.
You collaborate daily with colleagues at the inspection station, workshop staff, and administrative personnel to ensure efficient workflows and high quality in the inspection process. The role involves reporting findings in the system, handling customer contacts professionally, and contributing to improvement work and safety routines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting control inspections, re-inspections, and functional tests of heavy vehicles
- Documenting and justifying deviations according to regulations
- Performing test drives and technical assessments
- Communicating inspection results and providing recommendations to customers
- Collaborating with the workshop for corrective actions and follow-up
- Maintaining order and safety at the inspection site and following internal routines
Your Profile
We are looking for someone who is meticulous, responsible, and has a strong focus on road safety. You enjoy customer contact and work in a structured manner in a pace where quality and regulations are guiding principles. You have good problem-solving skills and can make technically well-founded decisions under your own responsibility.
Experience with heavy vehicles and previous work in inspection or workshop environments is advantageous. You are comfortable working in digital systems for documentation and have good communication skills.
Qualifications
- K1 certificate (required)
- Vocational training in vehicle or transport technology, or equivalent experience
- Experience with heavy vehicles and their systems is advantageous
- Category B driving license required; Category C is advantageous
- Good command of Swedish in speech and writing; English is advantageous
- Ability to work independently and in a team
About the Position
The position is located with the client in Gothenburg. Scope as agreed, preferably full-time. Start date as agreed. You will be employed as a consultant through Fordonsakademin.
