Your Role

In the role of Section Manager for RWR & ECM Technologies, part of the Product Development department - PU EW, you will lead a qualified group of system and software engineers organized in product teams. The department's mission is to develop advanced decoys, radar warning receivers, and jammers, where the section is responsible for system design and software for our radar warning receivers and jammers. You have personnel and budget responsibility and focus on coaching, guiding, and motivating the team to achieve both individual and common goals. This includes working environment and building the team's competence and capacity through recruitment and continuous competence development. As we are on a growth journey, this is a central part of the assignment.

You will also work with your team to develop innovative and efficient working methods for the section. The role involves improving processes and driving the organization forward. As a member of the department's management group, you collaborate with other managers to develop the business and create conditions for sustainable growth through increased efficiency and collaboration.

You will belong to a newly formed department that we want to be characterized by close cooperation, high trust, and helpful, engaged colleagues.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have a technical understanding within system- and hardware-related software development, preferably with experience of agile frameworks and working methods. Domain knowledge within Electronic Warfare is a plus but not a must. You have previous experience in a leading role, either as a manager, project manager, or team leader.

In addition to your technical skills, we see that you are an engaged leader with the ability to create trust and engagement within your team. You are communicative and can express yourself clearly in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. You have a structured and solution-oriented attitude and thrive in a dynamic environment where you both drive development and collaborate with others to achieve common goals.

You who apply should have:

• An academic education in a relevant field, Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent.
• At least two years of experience in a leading position, such as team leader, manager, or project manager.
• Technical understanding within system- and hardware-related software development, preferably with experience of agile frameworks and working methods.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English both in speech and writing.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to the current regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
