Do you have experience in school development and are you process-oriented with strong strategic skills? We are now looking for a Unit Manager for one of two units working with targeted interventions to increase knowledge results and goal achievement in the school system. Come and contribute to the future of schools!

About the job

You are the manager of a unit that, together with its sister unit, is responsible for the Swedish National Agency for Education's work in offering targeted interventions to municipalities and schools with the aim of raising knowledge results and goal achievement in the school system. In these targeted interventions, the Agency works in close dialogue with the selected operations and higher education institutions that contribute scientific support to the development efforts. The collaboration takes place both digitally and on-site at the selected municipalities.

As a manager, you plan and follow up on the work based on appropriation letters and commissioning mandates, ensuring that decided processes are followed and that interventions are equal for all school owners, while being adapted to local needs. Together with your employees and supported by the Agency's processes, you develop the operations so that the unit's mission is carried out purposefully and efficiently, and you lead your unit in a way that creates engagement.

The unit handles large sums and in your role as manager, you plan the operations based on appropriation letters and commissioning mandates. You hold the work together, ensure the process is followed, and that the interventions we make are equal for all school owners. You are the direct manager for approximately 20 qualified and engaged employees and are responsible for personnel, operations, results, and budget.

"In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of schools in close collaboration with school owners."
