Job Description

Do you want to be part of creating life-changing changes for vulnerable people? Then the position of Treatment Assistant at SiS is a meaningful challenge. We are currently seeking a temporary hourly position at SiS Långanäs!

As a Treatment Assistant, you work in a team together with treatment pedagogues and treatment coordinators. Together, you are responsible for ensuring that the youths (non-compulsory school-age boys) living with us receive the safety, care, and treatment they need.

We often meet people in crisis, which means you work with qualified nursing and motivational work, serving as a support in daily life. Using your knowledge in care and treatment work, you actively contribute to the fulfillment of treatment plans. Documentation is a crucial part of your job, contributing to legal security, planning, and follow-up of our operations. You ensure safety is maintained according to our routines and help ensure daily life runs smoothly with school attendance, cleaning, cooking, etc. Contact person responsibilities are also part of your duties. This is a job for you who sees a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in difficult life situations. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

Qualifications

Your personal suitability is key to life-changing change. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and participation. It is equally important that you have a solid positive view of humanity, great empathetic ability, and the ability to build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can maintain your calm even in pressured situations. You collaborate willingly with others and share your knowledge with colleagues.

Requirements:

• Minimum a 2-year post-secondary education from a folk high school or university college (KY/YH) or equivalent education. The education should be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant subject area. Exceptions to the requirement of a minimum two-year post-secondary education can be made in individual cases if there are special reasons according to Chapter 5, Section 4 of the Social Services Ordinance (2025:468).
• Category B driver's license
• Good command of Swedish in speech and writing

Meritorious:

• Experience from client-facing positions at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, e.g., correctional officer
• Security guard training
• Experience from client-facing positions at the Swedish Migration Agency, e.g., case officer at the Detention Center
• Education in care and nursing
• Experience working with our target group (e.g., addiction care, youth care, young boys)

Employment

The position is a temporary hourly contract. Before you can work in client-facing roles, you will undergo a 3-day introduction and shadowing with regular staff.
