Eastern Blekinge Rescue Service is a municipal association that operates rescue services in the member municipalities of Ronneby and Karlskrona. We have two full-time stations, eight part-time stations, two rescue vessels, and nearly 250 employees distributed across the various stations. The Rescue Service is an exciting and dynamic organization, and we have a good work environment that is open and inclusive. Here, there are great opportunities for development, and among our special capabilities are rescue divers, boat operators, advanced rescue, and MIRG (rescue operations at sea). The geographical location means that we handle many different types of risks, and we are an important part of the preparedness of the total defense.

Eastern Blekinge Rescue Service is growing and developing, and we are now looking for a Business Developer for the Business Support department.

New demands and expectations are placed on the operations of the rescue service, primarily due to the rescue service's leading role in civil defense. As a Business Developer, you will have a varied job with our entire geographical area as your workplace, but your placement is at the fire station in Karlskrona. Your mission will be to develop the changing operations of the Rescue Service and to be a close support to the association's managers and management group. You will independently, and in collaboration with others, analyze, investigate, and implement development initiatives within all parts of the organization, including experience feedback. You will also collaborate with other organizations and authorities such as municipalities, the County Administrative Board, and other cooperation partners. You will have significant responsibility and great opportunities to influence the ongoing development work of the rescue service.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have many years of experience working in various roles within municipal rescue services. You have very good knowledge of the rescue service's mission, prerequisites, and legislation. You have a deep understanding of how the rescue service functions and what the organizational form of a municipal association means for the operations.

As a person, you are confident, trustworthy, and comfortable meeting people within and outside our organization. You are analytical, responsible, and engaged. You express yourself well in speech and writing and have good computer skills. You can drive projects independently and have the ability to see the big picture. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability and that your competencies match the needs of our organization. You have a completed university education. It is meritorious if you are a fire engineer and have experience as a manager, officer, regional incident commander, or similar roles.
